From Industry Insight to Pet Passion

Our journey began not in the pet world, but in the challenging field of feed manufacturing. As one of the founders of a large-scale feed operation, I saw first-hand the entire process, from raw ingredients to final production. This experience gave us a critical, behind-the-scenes view that traditional pet food companies rarely share:

• The Problem with Fillers: We saw the immense environmental impact of common ingredients like soy, which contribute significantly to soil degradation and water pollution.
• The Hidden Chemicals: We learned about the widespread use of synthetic toxin binders—chemicals added to prevent mould and fungus and the potential side effects these could have on animal health.
• The High-Heat Compromise: Most critically, we saw how the intense, high-temperature process of extrusion stripped essential nutrients and oils from the final product.

Inspired by Kido

While managing this operation, our beloved companion, Kido, was at home, thriving on love but surviving on standard dry dog food. The disconnect was jarring: we possessed the knowledge of truly clean, nutrient-preserving production, yet our own companion wasn’t receiving the best of it.

The moment of clarity came when we realized we could use this specialized knowledge to solve a personal problem, Kido’s diet, and in doing so, address a major gap in the market.

Kido’s Pantry was born from that simple promise: to apply manufacturing expertise with a pet parent’s heart. We chose the gentle, cold-pressed method to preserve every nutrient and committed to only using safe, natural ingredients like Rosemary Extract for preservation.
